Never played a game that feels this damn romantic before. The crisp metal clink of every perfect parry hits so hard and gets me hyped every single time. The difficulty’s definitely no joke, but once u grind enough n have that “aha” breakthrough moment, everything clicks n fights get way easier. A 13GB game with this level of polish across effects, maps and character designs is genuinely wild. This level of quality makes its 2019 TGA GOTY win a total no-brainer.
This game tastier than a Wawa sub sandwich with a zero sugar orange cream soda from the fountain and a bag of Crunch balls.
Sekiro is what I consider to be Fromsoft's magnum opus. A game that requires you to rely only on yourself and is built meticulously around it. The barrier of entry is low, but the ceiling for mastery is high. This game starts as a puddle but ends as an ocean, comparable only to games like Devil May Cry. The player expression is here, so express yourself and remember wolf, that hesitation is defeat.
Don't approach this game like a Souls game. You are meant to stand your ground for the most part and deflect /parry attacks, use ninja tools to create openings. The story is great, the combat is engaging, and the game is difficult. The more you play the easier it gets, especially when you get in tune with the game.
reviewed post 100% Knew it was the greatest game of all time when I got the platinum on PS4. Knew it was the greatest when I got the 100% on here. It's just the pinnacle of action gameplay. Greatest combat, enemy, and boss design across any game. Play this. @miyazaki give us sekiro journey to the west pls. Now embarking on Sekiro : Resurrections.
This is probably the most frustrating game i have ever played, its certainly good but never again.
