its upsetting this game didnt pop off. Its my favorite game of the last year.
if destiny 2 wasn't killed shortly after its release this game would be very well-loved and highly regarded. extraction shooters aren't for everyone, and that's ok. that doesn't mean the game is bad, it just means that the decision to try to make it into the company's flagship cash cow is bad. what on earth were they thinking
Great game if you give it a chance. It does require a decent amount of skill but you can and will acquire it by investing a little time into it. I'm a pure D2 player and have gotten way better with Marathon by staying the course. Gun is fun and keeps me on it on the daily.
By far the best extraction shooter since Tarkov; big Neotokyo (2009) vibes. Great gameplay. Highly recommend.
This game is so awesome. Dont listen tiktok kidos, who blames this game. Settings, gameplay, atmosphere, visual design - are brilliant. Gunplay and tactics are tremendous. Bots are smart and unpredictive as hell, which drive u to play by tactical ops, instead of dumb shooting push as in most of FPS games. The feeling of suspense cannot be described in words. 10/10
If you buy Marathon, remember it's chess with guns. It won't play like COD, Apex, Titanfall, or Fortnite. Good teamwork and tactics will get you wins. Marathon hurts like For Honor but has its euphoria once everything connects.
