Give it time. It completely transforms after the tutorial. I almost gave up on this game during the first 10 hours. The first "tutorial" chapter feels disjointed, a little confusing, and slow. But once the game finally opens up, it is an absolute masterpiece . The open-world experience is unmatched. The world-building is superb. The visuals are stunning. If you are struggling through the opening chapter, power through . The payoff is entirely worth it.

Most of the people I've seen complaining about this game, complain about the story or the controls. I personally think this game is better seen as a story game with story elements. As for the controls, I think its a skill issue and i personally like all the utility as it raises the skill ceiling and makes combat as in depth as you want it to be. Easily my GOTY especially with the update track they've had here recently. If you don't like sandbox RPGs don't play this game.

If you value your free time and like to get out in the world dont play this game...It will steal your soul and never let you leave. Ive been chasing the dragon ever since the day it came out. help I need a intervention.

There is a lot going on in this game. Truly, the devs did a crazy solid job here. Graphical optimization, check Controller support is off the charts for the amount of stuff going on There is a lot to do and unpack in this game, i've been taking my time, 35 hours since release, so i'm an old slow gamer nowadays... Over all, impressive and I want to keep going back.

Great game when you have a powerfull PC. Do every side content before progressing the Story and you will get hundred of hours out of it. The best game you can compare this one to is Read Dead Redemption 2 but in a Fantasy World. 9 / 10 would buy again.

It has been so many years since I've played a game that I've enjoyed as much as Crimson Desert. Do yourself a favor, and dive straight into the world. You won't be disappointed.
